How do you cope with that unexpected call from the press? What should you and shouldn't you say if the media want a comment from your company? When and how should you tell the world your big news? How do you put a PR strategy together? How does the media work and what are they looking for? What sort of picture should accompany your press release? Should you hold a press launch?

Questions, questions, questions!!! But do you have the answers (I know, another question)! But if you are not skilled in dealing with the press you will fail on two major counts:

The first, being able to get your message across and maximise the potential of your good news story. You only get one shot, so make sure your message is right, your delivery is right, your timing is right and you're reaching the relevant media! You could have the best story in the world but do those things wrong and it wont get a line!

And secondly, not being best prepared to react to the bad news story! This can be very damaging to you, your company and your business. As a general rule, the media are keener to write this type of story rather than a good one - sad, but true! With the right training and advice, crisis situations can be 'managed' to minimise the damage.

I have a history of looking after clients who have needed both sets of PR skills. Good news can even lead to bad news if not managed correctly. My journalistic expertise has given me the opportunity to see it from both sides, so I know how to handle these situations.

Let me help you and your people get it right!
